She Wolf is one of 2 eye color trio palettes released by Tom Ford for Fall 2013. Just like In The Pink (reviewed here), this is limited edition; and if In The Pink is a lady with a sparkly eye, She Wolf is a complex femme fatale.
Upon first glance, She Wolf seemed like a neutral taupe palette, but that’s just the wolf hiding in sheepskin because the color actually shifts depending on the way the light hits it!
The swatches above correspond to the shades from left to right on the pan:
As I mentioned earlier, the shades actually turns gray on my lids depending on the light, but doesn’t fall flat like many other grays out there (see how one eye looked brown and another gray in the photo above?). I wore it very simply with the medium shade all over the lid, followed by the darkest shade along the lash line and outer corner of my eye. I then dabbed the glitter all over the center and inner corner. To complete the eye, I lined all over with a black liquid liner, then went over the lower lash line with the medium shade, and finally dabbed just a bit of the glitter in the inner corner.
I wore She Wolf for almost 8 hours without any creasing or falling out! This is an intense palette, and is best used for smoky hot dates. However, it is versatile enough that if applied with a very light hand, can be day-appropriate as well. The glitter shade is lovely with great color base, and can be used on its own if so desired. This is currently sold-out in Singapore, but still available elsewhere in the world online. Do have a think and grab it while you still can or live to howl in regret later!
