Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Creamy Mask & Eye Cream EX

I love trying out luxury skincare as much as the next person on the street, even more so when it is antiaging and carries wafts of fragrant ginseng.  Sulwhasoo’s latest addition to its Concentrated Ginseng Renewing line has captivated me, and I think I need a backup already!

Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Creamy Mask harnesses the brand’s 50 years of knowledge in ginseng research, for the ultimate luxurious anti-aging treat.  The mask contains 8 times the active ingredient that is used in the line’s best-selling Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Cream EX, a proprietary Compound K which is a powerful saponin found in ginseng root.  It boosts collagen production and inhibits the breakdown of collagen, to ensure skin gets more plump and firm over time.  Furthermore, Compound K helps with hyaluronic acid synthesis, and restores skin’s natural regenerative abilities to recover that youthful texture and glow.  Full list of ingredients may be found here.

Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Creamy Mask comes luxuriously packaged in a thick carton box containing 5 pieces of masks.  Each mask is separated into 2 sheets, each individually packed in a clear plastic tray and sealed.  At the very first touch, I knew this is no ordinary sheet mask, as the texture of the mask is almost like fabric and there is no wet drippy mess to contend with!  Sulwhasoo uses a Double Wrapping Sheet technology, which comprises of an outer film made of Gore-tex to prevent evaporation and seals the ingredients onto the skin.  The inner side of the mask is a microstructure sheet that adheres perfectly and
comfortably to the facial contours and drives absorption of the creamy product by up to 10 times.

It is not everyday that a sheet mask knocks me off my feet, and it has been a very long time since I felt this impressed.  Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Creamy Mask left my skin feeling nice and hydrated, just perfectly plumped without leaving me wondering if I should tissue off the excess or stay up all night waiting for it all to be absorbed (or evaporated).  The surface of my skin felt smoother, lines were less visible, and there is a noticeable translucent glow that I absolutely loved!

For complete anti-aging care, we must never forget to pamper the eyes.  To celebrate the launch of the new mask, Sulwhasoo has reformulated the Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Eye Cream EX.  In addition to the powerful Compound K, the eye cream now contains Ginsenoside Re extracted from ginseng flowers, that enhances skin’s natural ability to defend against damage and promotes healing.  Full list of ingredients may be found here.  It has a silky, creamy texture that envelops the eye area in a comforting way.  I would not necessarily consider this as lightweight, and a tiny bit goes a very long way, but it is wonderful for those with dry eye area especially on more matured skin.  My eye area is very prone to getting milia seeds, and I am very glad to report that this Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Eye Cream EX did not break me out.  Instead, I wake up to smooth, contoured eyes every morning after each use!
