I’m so nervous for the US presidential elections, and I am not even American! The world has never been so divisive, and if the news is to be believed, there will be tumultuous times ahead regardless who wins tonight.
I have never been more grateful to be a Singaporean, and am proud of all the local beauty brands that have sprung up in recent years. With the raging pandemic hurting small businesses all around, I’ve decided to start a new mini-series to #supportlocal brands that have truly wow-ed me. Today, I would like to introduce you to a relatively newcomer – Sigi Skin and its latest product Tea-Tox!
Sigi Skin offers a tightly curated line of skincare that aspires to spark joy and give us happy skin. All the products are vegan and cruelty-free. They are thoughtfully formulated to meet a range of skincare needs in a fun and effective way. Sigi Skin uses ingredients made from super foods, and stays away from nasties (e.g. parabens, sodium lauryl sulphate, butylated hydroxytoluene, DMDM Hydantoin, phthalates and polyunsaturated oils).
The new Sigi Skin Tea-Tox sheet mask contains a powerful concoction of 20% probiotics to protect skin against sensitivities, provide relief and reduce redness. Cold-pressed yuzu extract helps to brighten and stimulate collagen production. Kombucha improve skin’s barrier function. Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate reduces hyperpigmentation, shrinks pores, and prevents water loss and UV damage.
The mask itself feels relatively silky and adheres to the skin well. It is made of high thread count microfibre which is more comfortable than common drugstore paper masks, but less form-fitting than bio-cellulose usually found in high-end sheet masks. Each sheet mask if individually wrapped, and contains 27ml of product which is sufficient for the face but do not expect to have leftovers for the neck, etc. Regardless, I felt that it delivered the ingredients well, and my skin felt soothed and brighter afterwards!
Sigi Skin Tea-Tox comes in a box of 4 or 8 for SGD32 onwards. They ship globally via FedEx, and you can shop from the convenience of your own home via their website sigiskin.com.
