There is a new lip balm on the block, and it is even juicier and fresher than ever. Shu Uemura’s new Tint in Balm takes their amazing lip wardrobe one step further, and aims to strike the perfect balance between high-impact and long-lasting color with lip hydration.
Shu Uemura makes some of my favourite lip products, and I was excited to check out their new Tint in Balm. Housed in a sleek pen-like tube, these are reminiscent of these that I loved, with the key difference being instead of swivelling up, the Shu Uemura Tint in Balm has a clicker at the base that pushes the product out in tiny increments. I personally dispense about 2-3 clicks each time, and since there is some room in the cap, I don’t have to worry about the lipstick getting smashed up inside.
There are 10 shades from 4 mood categories (sparkling, sweet, energetic, and confident) to choose from, and I have 3 to show you today:
All 3 shades I have here are boldly pigmented, and incredibly creamy. They are mostly opaque in 1-2 swipes, but sheers out easily too as needed. The shades that I have are:

Shu Uemura Tint in Balm is formulated with more than 25% of rich, moisturizing plant oils to keep lips soft and moisturized. It also ensures a high-shine finish, and a melting-rich texture. The colors are the most intense that I’ve yet to encounter with any of such balm-like lipsticks, which is a refreshing change and a good dose of fun. I also love that the Tint in Balm floats over my lips, blurring the look of the many lines, leaving me with a plumped smooth set of puckers! On the other hand, having so much slip in a product does leave a tendency for the lipstick to migrate out of contours, and even on my teeth. Though long-lasting when left on its own, this will go off with eating and drinking.
Priced at SGD$42 for 1.8gm of product, Shu Uemura Tint in Balm are now available at all counters in Singapore. Check them out for yourself!
