I can’t seem to get enough of Shiseido’s foundations! Their Synchro Skin Glow Cushion [reviewed here] has become a permanent feature in my purse, the formula is perfect for wearing on its own and touch-ups. And just as I’m running out, the brand has launched the Shiseido Synchro Skin Glow Luminizing Fluid Foundation!
Shiseido extends its family of smart-skin foundations with the new Synchro Skin Glow Luminizing Fluid Foundation. It is able to sense changes in the skin’s sebum and moisture levels as the day progresses, and synchronize throughout the day for a perfected complexion. Whereas the first Synchro Skin Lasting Liquid Foundation [reviewed here] was designed for oily – combination skin types, this new Synchro Skin Glow Luminizing Fluid Foundation is better suited for those with dry – dehydrated skin.
The Synchro Skin Glow Luminizing Fluid Foundation is formulated with Argan Oil, Cranberry Seed Oil and Yuzu Seed Extract to boost hydration and help skin retain moisture for youthful suppleness. There is a Super Bio-Moisture Network that prevents an uneven finish caused by dryness, leaving skin with a beautiful lustrous look. Wild Thyme Extract helps provide anti-oxidant benefits; and broad spectrum SPF 20 protects the skin from UV damage. Please click here for the full ingredient list.
I have the same shade Neutral-2 for all 3 of the Shiseido Synchro Skin foundations, and have swatched them side-by-side here for your reference. As you can see, the new Synchro Skin Glow Luminizing Fluid Foundation is slightly pinker in tone, giving a slight brightening effect, but is otherwise quite similar. In comparison, the original Synchro Skin is more yellow-based. The cushion version is closer in shade to the original, but is in fact somewhere between the 2 fluid foundations.

Shiseido Synchro Skin Glow Luminizing Fluid Foundation is sheerer and less buildable than the cushion with the same name. However, it has the same beautiful my-skin-but-better finish, and a natural luminosity that looks fresh and healthy. It works well on uneven skin tone, and minimizes the look of pores, whilst keeping my dehydrated skin comfortable and does not emphasize dry patches. I would recommend this for the summer months ahead when you want to look your best without looking like you’re trying too hard. Check it out in stores now!

Ah I’ve been waiting for this review. I’ll have to go try it out at the counter. I’ve been reaching for the Synchro Skin Lasting Foundation so often, I’ve already used a quarter of a bottle! I’ve been mixing it with some glow primer so it doesn’t look so matte, and sounds like the Glow version will be good for me 🙂
I do love this foundation and on you is just perfectly glowing!

Definitely try it out Kedidja! You’ll love it!!
This wowed me when I tried it on instore I bought it immediatly. Love the pore blurring effect and the my skin but better finish. So great to see you review it, thank you! I have this in Golden 2, though I have Neutral 2 in Synchro Lasting, both are a great match melding to my skin tone. What do you find is best method of application? I use my fingers as it really is that effortless to apply.
Hi Rosey, I too apply this with my fingers as I find a brush or sponge will just sheer it out even more. Great idea to get this one in the golden undertone as it is different from the synchro lasting!
I got a generous sample of this and cannot wait to try it although my shade is golden 3 and I have the neutral one. I love the original Synchro Skin as it’s lightweight on my skin and long lasting. I add a few drops of my highlighter and it’s perfection. I suspect this might be too rich for me, but we will see. It’s looking beautiful on you- love the glow!
yes this is as lightweight as the original synchro lasting, but glowier, which I appreciate more now with my dry skin. It’s really an easy one for traveling!
Had it on my face all day yesterday, so these are first impressions, but I like it! I just wouldn’t get it to even out my red nose (Rudolf could be a sibling of mine 😂), so I used a concealer there. But lasted well for a dewy foundation on my oily these days skin… 🙂
What an absolutely beautiful product! I am always looking for new foundations to try and for a really long time, I have wanted something sheer. I haven’t found the right thing though. But this one could be it! I definitely want to give this a try.
Hi Janine, you should definitely try this one! Your skin is beautiful, there’s no need to cover it up, especially in the summer months ahead! If you find this too glowy, then try the original version which is matte!
