Pixi Beauty Multibalms for Cheeks & Lips…and a giveaway!

September 19, 2016

Pixi Beauty made me squeal like a little girl recently when a box of their latest Multibalms for Cheeks and Lips showed up on my doorstep one day!  This was a brand that I had really loved during my college days, and every time I was in a Target store I would spend more time browsing the Pixi shelves than picking out groceries.  The clean minimalistic packaging and chic trendy colors were irresistible to me, and very affordably priced for my tight college budget.  Ever since I moved back to Singapore, I’ve missed Pixi so terribly much, not just the easy access (because I just realized that Pixi ships internationally!) but also nobody in Asia seems to know much about the brand.  So, today I hope to remedy that somewhat, but showing you these amazing Pixi Multibalms for Cheeks and Lips!

Pixi Multibalms for Lips and Cheeks

Pixi Multibalms are dual-use cream colored products designed for the cheeks and lips, and they come in a convenient chubby twist-up stick packaging.  The cream contains enough slip in it that it glides on smoothly, and is easy to blend out with your choice of fingers, brush or sponge.  It has a satin finish, and amazingly stays on my cheeks all day even in the tropical humidity and non-stop variation between air-conditioned interiors and blazingly hot outdoors.

There are 5 available shades, including 1 for contouring.  The colors are, from left to right:-

For the lips though, I found the sticks themselves too fat to be applied directly, and preferred using my finger to pick up and then dab onto my lips for a light stain.  You could also use a brush, although trying to achieve any level of opacity will require quite a bit of work.

Here is how they look on my lips:

My lips are naturally a little dry, and I have not applied any balm before swatching, so the lines are just how my lips look.  Whilst these Pixi Multibalms did not dry out my lips any further, they did not feel particularly moisturising either.  Due to the natural dark tone of my lips, I liked the result of Soft Strawberry the most, and was surprised by how berry-kissed it looked!

Overall, I am really pleased with these Pixi Multibalms as they are so convenient to carry around and work for both cheeks and lips.  I love the functional and lightweight packaging, and think they are perfectly chic and pretty at an unbeatable price point.  Seriously, at £12.00 each, you’d want to get them all.  The best part of that is, Pixi offers free shipping for orders above £35!  Yes, Pixi offers international shipping (to Singapore!) from their website here (unaffiliated link).

Before you wonder how these translate onto an Asian complexion, here is a look featuring Wild Rose along the sides of the cheek bones, WaterMelon Veil on the apples of my cheeks for a brightening pop, and Sheer Sculpt just under the cheek bones to contour.  Once everything is blended out, it gives that lit-from-within look that is very natural and does not detract from the rest of my makeup!

Lastly, as you would have seen from the title of this post, the kind folks at Pixi Beauty had sent me an extra set of products, and I thought I would share the love by giving away the spare set to 1 lucky reader!  So throw your name into the sorting hat aka rafflecopter widget below, and let’s see what it comes up with!  The usual rules that you may imagine would apply, i.e. you must be a follower of this blog, yada yada.  Good luck!

Their endless silky eye pens are great liners and in such a beautiful color range. And I LOVE the Pixi Glow Tonic. I actually prefer it to the original Biologique Recherche P50 and smells infinitely more pleasant too.
