Happy Friday! It’s been a rather content heavy week, but I would like to show you these Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipsticks that launched here in Singapore about a month ago.
Make Up For Ever recently reformulated their Artist Rouge Lipsticks, and repackaged them in stunningly sleek and chic tubes. There are 45 shades spanning 5 color families and in both matte and cream finishes. Compared to the previous formula, these new Artist Rouge Lipsticks contain 25% more pigment and is easily opaque in a single swipe. And as we have now come to expect with such high performance lipsticks, these are designed to last throughout the day, touting as long as 10 hours for the creams and 8 hours for the mattes!
I was a little awestruck when I first saw the entire 45 shade range, there is literally every lipstick shade one can think of, including a family of bold shades such as navy blue, black and green. There is an element of artistry at play here, and whilst you are free (even encouraged!) to express your individuality with the bold hues, the Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipsticks also blend well with each other for customised shades!
I received 4 shades courtesy of the kind folks at Make Up For Ever Singapore, and here are the swatches:
I am really impressed by how far the formula for matte and super intense lipsticks have come in the past year. These Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipsticks are some of the boldest lipsticks that I currently own, and frankly, they feel so comfortable on my lips, I forget they are there at all. This is thanks to the use of lush macadamia oils, and sunflower seed waxes provide emollience to keep the lipstick from settling into the lines on my lips.
The tips of these Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipsticks are extra pointy at the top with a narrowed flattened surface. This is inspired by lip brushes, and are specially designed to aid application. I love using the super sharp tip to line the outline of my lips before filling in with the flat surface.
These Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipsticks are now available at Sephora, and retails for SGD35 each. Have you tried them yet?
