Strike a dramatic dark pose this Holiday 2019 with Lunasol
The holiday season is perfect for experimenting with makeup, and Lunasol brings us a number of fun shimmery options to play with. Even though the collection is named Dramatic Dark, it is done with a light and elegant Japanese touch, albeit with a couple of bolder accents.
As with all Japanese beauty houses, there is always at least 1 or more makeup kits designed for an all-in-1 party look, suitable as gifts. The Holiday Favorite Festive Set is a great value-for-money selection, and comprises 4 items – Eyeshadow Coloration palette EX03 Mysterious Mood, Skinny Color Glow cheek balm in EX01 Juniper Berry, Dress for Lips Gloss in EX01 Moonlit Dust, and a metallic purple pouch.

The eyeshadow shades are surprisingly warm-toned in this Eye Coloration EX03 palette, adding a bit of candlelit warmth though the fine micro-shimmers to add some drama. I’m most fond of the Skinny Color Cheek Glow in Juniper Berry as it is an unusual plummy chocolate with some hidden violet shimmers. The color is suitable not just for sculpting the cheeks, but also doubles up as a lip tint. The Dress for Lips gloss is a clear transparent gloss that pulls cool-toned because of the light blue, lilac and silver shimmers within. It works best layered over another lip color, and may also be added to either the cheeks or lids for a touch of highlight.
Putting them all together, here is a full makeup look featuring the Lunasol Holiday Favorites set. I wore Skinny Color Cheek glow on my lips before adding Dress for Lips Gloss to the middle.
Apart from the Holiday Favorites set above, Lunasol has also included 2 special Fusing Color Palettes for experimentation. These include a full-sized luminous cheek color, and trio of complementary shades that may be used on the lids or as highlighter.
