For Spring-Summer 2021 makeup, Lucia Pica took to the world of flowers to create the Les Fleurs de Chanel collection. This is a youthful take on spring makeup, filled with optimism and energy, all the vibes that we need right now.
The exclusive creation for this collection is the Fleurs de Printemps blush & highlighter duo. Bearing the house’s signature camellia, Fleurs de Printemps enhances the complexion and sculpts the face elegantly. On the right is a satin pink coral blush that brings a very pretty flush to the cheeks. The left is a peach highlighter with a fine golden shift. It layers beautifully with the blush, and draws light to the face naturally.
There are a couple of other items that are quite fun and deserving to be checked out. I received a limited edition Le Volume de Chanel Mascara in Metal Terracotta, as well as a Rouge Allure Velvet Extreme in Pivoine Noire. Here are the swatches:
I do recommend you pick up the limited edition Le Vernis in Metallic Bloom. Chanel offers many many excellent red nail polishes, but Metallic Bloom is special. The metallic finish makes this a no-brainer to apply, absolutely streak-free, and looks so polished (below swatch features 2 layers without top coat). It is also an interesting red with golden shift, which makes Metallic Bloom really unique – neither overly warm nor orange, super flattering on Asian skin tones.
I have not gotten the chance to check out the eyeshadow palettes, but they look really pretty and easy to wear… have you seen either of them in person?
