Kanebo’s latest skincare range reverses the signs of aging

January 4, 2018

Kanebo completely revamped its product line last year, including both makeup and skincare.  The entire brand philosophy now revolves around the concept of Chrono Beauty, changing rhythm of the body and skin at different times of the day and year.  By understanding how the skin condition has evolved, Kanebo believes we can reduce the signs of aging and mature gracefully by taking proper care accordingly.  The skincare range is rather extensive, but today, I’d like to give you a peek at a few specialized items that were recently launched to address concerns of sagging and wrinkling.

Kanebo Fall 2018 skincare collection

Kanebo’s skincare range is formulated with botanical extracts and feature a light fragrance composed of tea flowers.  The new 3-piece collection consists of Graceful Flow Lotion, a lightweight and not overly fragranced lotion that rehydrates the skin after cleansing, and leaves my skin feeling soothed and pampered.  It is notably free from alcohol; and contains Loquat leaf extract which is high in antioxidants and has soothing properties, Watercress extract which counteracts UV damage and is high in beta-carotene,  and Geranium extract combats wrinkles and sagging.  Full ingredient list may be found here.  I’ve actually liked this one so much that I’ve not stopped using it since I received it last September, and am close to emptying it!

When my skin is feeling dry and stressed out from climatic changes, I sometimes prefer layering multiple light-textured products and allowing time in between to absorb each product.  And recently when my skin was going through its usual freakout, I opened up the Kanebo Fulfilling Emulsion for the first time, and was so surprised by its rich yet lightweight properties.  A full pump is  bit much for me, but it is easy to control the dosage, so I actually use about half pump on my face, followed by another half pump on my neck.  This emulsion complements the lotion beautifully and contains the same key ingredients.  Full list of ingredients here.

The star of the collection is the Kanebo Skin-Tightening Cream which focuses on wrinkles and sagging.  It has a silky rich texture that gently envelops the skin and is easily absorbed leaving the skin feeling plump and smooth.  There is an interesting blend of botanical extracts here that specifically protect the skin day and night – sweet tea extract tightens sagging skin, licorice provides antioxidant benefits and promotes radiance, bitter orange has anti-inflammatory properties, and moon peach leaf is packed with essential vitamins and fatty acids to maintain skin elasticity.  Ingredient list here.

Kanebo Skin Gloss Oil Water

Apart from caring for the face, Kanebo Skin Gloss Oil Water is a charming addition to the line to cater for the body and hair.  This bi-phase fluid has a charming pink tint and a beguiling soft floral scent.  Olive fruit oil is incredibly beneficial for the skin, has healing and hydrating properties.  It is topped with evening primrose extract which is packed with essential nutrients and healthy fats, great for soothing irritated skin and antiaging.  I love that it is easily absorbed by my skin and does not leave my body feeling greasy, and is light enough to be used on the hair ends without weighing down my hair.  Full ingredients here.

Overall, the latest antiaging range from Kanebo has been a great pleasure to use and I’m really loving the combination of the Graceful Lotion and Fulfilling Emulsion for daily AM use.  Consider these the next time you are in the market for new skincare!

This post featured products that were generously provided for my consideration.  Regardless, all opinions expressed here are my own honest, unbiased views.
