Love, Laugh & Dream Big with Innisfree x Snoopy

The coming Lunar year will feature the Chinese zodiac of the dog, and Innisfree celebrates that with one of my favourite characters – Snoopy!  I have really fond memories of my adolescent years spent with the cast of Peanuts, and their laid-back yet incredibly insightful philosophies about life.  Snoopy never says a single word, yet that self-assured grin of his always makes me feel good about myself.  Special occasions, especially Valentines Day, is always a big deal and well celebrated in Snoopy’s world, and so it is apt that all the elements come together nicely with the latest Innisfree x Snoopy Collection.

With the tagline of “Love, Laugh, and Dream Big”, this Spring’s Innisfree x Snoopy collection spreads joy with adorably packaged gift ideas, featuring a range of limited edition lip tints, nail polishes, makeup cases and bodycare.  The nail polishes are especially fun, there are 5 shades to choose from – 2 nudes, 2 pinks and 1 blue.  The bottles feature an easy-to-use wide, flattened brush; and all the shades applied smoothly without streaking and are fully opaque in 2 thin coats.  Here are the nail swatches for your reference:

All 5 Innisfree x Snoopy Real Color Nail polishes have a creamy finish with a flattering shine.  They dry within minutes, so are fuss-free when you are in a rush.  I also found they had decent longevity on my nails, lasting about 3 days before showing tip wear.

I was equally impressed with the Innisfree x Snoopy Vivid Creamy Tint.  These are liquid lipsticks that feature intense color and a nice lacquered-shine finish.  They have an interesting applicator that picks up the perfect dose of product each time for the entire lips.  It also allows me to get around all the contours and inner corners without smearing.

Since we are celebrating Valentines Day and heralding in the Lunar new year at the same time this year, Innisfree has selected 3 shades of red for this collection.  All 3 have a creamy bold hue, and may be worn fully opaque or sheered and blotted down to a tint.

On my lips, shade 1 pulls fuchsia, whilst shades 2 and 3 are very similar.  The slight difference between them is that shade 2 appears warmer and shade 3 has a more neutral undertone.  They all have amazing longevity, cause minimal mess on drink glasses / cups, and leave behind a nice tint even when fully worn off.  The best part is they do not leave my lips parched even with consecutive days of wear!

Apart from the items discussed above, there are also several cushion cases and makeup palettes bearing the limited edition Innisfree x Snoopy designs.  These work with all of Innisfree’s usual cushion refills and eyeshadow singles.  Fans should not miss these, including a small pocket-sized No Sebum Mineral Powder.  This is a fine loose powder that helps to set makeup, and may be used for touch-ups to eliminate excess shine.
