What do you get when you combine a passion for food and skincare? I’ve always known that the folks at Fresh love to use natural ingredients in their products, but it was still a surprise (a very exciting one!) when I first took a whiff and dipped my finger into their latest… Fresh Vitamin Nectar Vibrancy-Boosting Face Mask!
The latest from the Fresh people is a jam-like facial mask intended to gently exfoliate and give a boost of vitamins to the skin. It is the culmination of co-founder Lev Glazman’s childhood fascination with edible food as skincare, and a celebration of the brand’s 25th anniversary. Vitamin Nectar took almost 3 years to perfect, and it is unique because each jar contains an unprecedented amount (50%) of fresh fruits – Mediterranean oranges and lemons, and Corsican clementines.
Opening up a jar of Fresh Vitamin Nectar is like opening up a new jar of marmalade, that irresistible finger-licking fragrance drew me and my little one to put our noses close to the lid and go mmmmmm.. It has a slightly goopy texture that can be a little tricky to apply initially, but it doesn’t fall off the face (nor accidentally onto the tip of my tongue!) no matter how much I jiggle about in excitement. The best part of it is there is no stickiness as one might associate with jam. Instead, there is a cool, soothing sensation that just feels delightful.
Just as vitamin supplements are good for the body, Fresh Vitamin Nectar Vibrancy-Boosting Face Mask contains a cocktail of ingredients to revitalize tired-looking skin. All of the citrus lemons, oranges and clementines contain a good dose of AHA to gently exfoliate away dead surface cells and refine the skin’s texture. There is also a concentrated blend of vitamins C and E, which are all potent antioxidants that brighten, even out skin tone, and boost collagen production as well as skin’s barrier function. The addition of Panthenol (Vitamin B5) further helps the skin attract and hold moisture, thereby plumping up and smoothening out the skin.
My skin is naturally dry and dehydrated, and since starting on anti-acne medication it has gotten even drier and flakey. Prior to this, I have been averse to chemical exfoliants as I am always worried about my sensitive skin reacting to some chemical ingredients; but Fresh Vitamin Nectar Vibrancy-Boosting Face Mask has completely changed my perspective! I found this to be super gentle, soothing even, on my sensitised patches. Of course, I am careful to apply only a thin layer and leave it on for no more than the recommended 15 minutes. The gel-like texture is fun to massage on the skin, and there are no harsh abrasive bits to worry about. It rinses off easily, and my skin looks visibly brighter and smoother afterwards!
Fresh Vitamin Nectar Vibrancy-Boosting Face Mask is a lovely one to have on regular rotation – use it 2-3 times a week to reveal softer, baby skin. I love that it pairs wonderfully with my hydration masks, and it seems to boost the efficacy of my skincare products as well! If you are looking for a gentle exfoliating product suitable for sensitive skin, I recommend you give this one a try!

This is so gorgeous. I recently tried some fresh lip creams and I love them. What do you have going on in the background there? It looks like an intriguing science experience. Are you brewing up some cosmetics or creams???
I’ve been so curious about this, Linda. It looks good enough to eat!! I still have a few masks to use up, but this is definitely on my list to try 🙂
