Happy September!! I know I say this every month, but this year is seriously passing much faster than I ever imagined possible. I was hoping to start this month with some really good news, but I’m still waiting. And in the meantime, I wanted to share with you lots of gorgeous new lipsticks from Estee Lauder!
Estee Lauder is unceasing in giving us more and more reasons for #lipstickenvy. This Fall 2016, there are 2 new lip formulae that promise long-lasting wear and bold sensual color.
Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Vinyl Lipcolor is the latest liquid lipstick from the family that boasts of a creamy, moisture-rich formula with a vinyl-like glossy finish. Whilst the packaging is very similar to the Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Liquid Lip Potion [reviewed here], the two are completely different. This Vinyl Lipcolor is a thin, lightweight fluid that feels more like a gloss than the airy mousse like the Lip Potion. Also, Vinyl Lipcolor remains glossy throughout whist Lip Potion dries down to a matte finish.
There are 5 shades in this release, and here are the swatches:
All 5 shades have some slight shimmer to them, although they are all incredibly fine and do not irritate my lips nor leave a gritty feeling. I love the bold pops of color, and found these are quite long-lasting, surviving through my morning coffee and lunch. Yet despite the long weartime, Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Vinyl Lipcolor does not leave my lips feeling parched at the end of the day, but in fact contains jojoba, sunflower and avocado oils, plus Hyaluronic Acid to keep the lips moisturized. More importantly, it plumps up the lips discreetly, and the color pigments and pearls used in the Lipcolor keep lips glistening beautifully.
Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Hi-Lustre Lipstick takes the same advanced multi-faceted color pigment technology as the Vinyl LipColors and applies it in a bullet form. These Hi-Lustre Lipsticks are reminiscent of the older Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipsticks [reviewed here] with their bright intense color and wide range of options. I am happy to see that they are much improved though, featuring a lustrous finish that sculpts the lips. There is more slip to these Hi-Lustre lipsticks, and they are formulated with a time-release encapsulated hyaluronic acid complex to keep lips feeling moist and plumped all day long.
There are 5 shades across 4 color families, and here are the swatches:
Nudes to Browns
Pinks to Berries
**Note: 230 Pretty Shocking was missing at the preview. Also, 240 Blush Tease is Asia exclusive!
Corals to Reds

Mauves to Plums
I have really enjoyed wearing both the Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Vinyl LipColor and Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Hi-Lustre Lipstick. Both are incredibly kind on the lips, and I can never resist a bright pop of color. I was a big fan of the original Sculpting Lipsticks, and am amazed at how much more they were able to improve the formula. These are some of the most comfortable lipsticks I own with a long wear time, and I love the beautiful flattering shine it leaves my lips with. Both are available at all Estee Lauder boutiques and counters in Singapore now.
