Erabelle is a local chain of Japanese-style beauty salons that offers its own range of skincare. I’m always excited to support local businesses, and even more so to discover new innovative products. And nothing piques my curiosity like a mask that looks, smells and is marketed like a facial smoothie – YUM!!
Erabelle Skin Softening Refiner is a moisturizing cream mask, and facial exfoliator 2-in-1. It has a soft cream, almost fluid, texture and feels very comforting when applied on the skin. Ingredients such as hydrolyzed vegetable/silk/corn proteins and honey moisturizes the skin, and forms a film on the skin that helps prevent water loss and plumps up the skin thereby reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles.
To use, first apply a thin layer all over the face and leave it on for 5-7 minutes. Thereafter, very gently, work the product all over the skin by massaging in circular motions. The peach seed powder in Erabelle’s Skin Softening Refiner helps to exfoliate the skin, helping to remove dead skin cells and reveal fresh new skin. Thereafter rinse with water and pat dry.
Erabelle Skin Softening Refiner is an interesting product as it bridges the tendency for exfoliating products to dry out skin, and doubles up as a soothing moisture mask. In that sense, I can see girls with dry skin enjoying this on a regular basis. Personally though, I prefer my physical exfoliants to be finer and smoother [like this and this]… the peach seed powder in Erabelle’s Skin Softening Refiner felt much coarser and not as well-rounded. At the same time, it left my skin with a film, which takes some getting used to. If used in the evenings, it could be quite comforting to have an additional moisturizing layer before going to bed. However, to prep my skin before heading out, I generally prefer a cleaner, fresher feel. Priced at SGD95 for 30gm, Erabelle Skin Softening Refiner is priced on the high end, although if you consider it as a 2-in-1 product, it becomes more palatable. Have you seen anything like this before – a dual exfoliator and moisturizing mask?
The product featured above was provided for my consideration. All opinions expressed are my own honest, unbiased views, and are not influenced in any way.
Sounds like a lovely salon! I too cant tolerate scrubs on my face now, sometimes I get it done during a facial and I’m always in a little panic about it lol!
I actually do use physical exfoliants once a week, except when my skin is irritated. But I like to go for very fine ones that don’t feel too gritty. La Mer is my favorite, followed by Creme Simon!
I think the idea behind this product is great! But I’m with you on physical exfoliators, I wouldn’t dare to put that on my face! But, I think it’d be great to use on the décolleté and neck area 😉
oh yes my old lady neck needs all the exfoliators and smoothie love it can get! 😛
