Happy mani-Monday folks! I have a few nail lacquers waiting to be reviewed, but for some reason I just haven’t been feeling it lately. I had a really terrible (come to think of it, terrible doesn’t even begin to describe the nightmare) gelish manicure sometime back, and my nails have been brittle and breaks at the slightest touch. They are so badly ruined that I can’t bear to do anything much to them. There is a really thin line between a negative review and an all-out rant, so I’ve decided not to go into details here, but for those living in Singapore and who would like a fair warning, you can read my review on yelp here.
Anyway, to break my nail rut, I decided to go out and splurge on this set of Dries van Noten inspired nail art at my trusted Fe The Nail Lounge!
I saw this on Garance Dore’s site back in April, and it has been haunting my dreams since then. This is the most I’ve ever spent on a manicure, and I really should have done this for a big event or something… But gosh, they’re so beautiful, and until they come up with a H&M collaboration or something, I probably won’t be sporting any Dries van Noten in the near future.
Until they come up with a way to copyright nail designs, you can get pretty much anything done at a good salon! And there have been a good number of nail salons popping up lately specializing in nail art! I just happen to go to Fe because it is walking distance to my work place. If you’d like to check it out, be sure to ask for Angie. She’s the immaculate artist behind this set of nails (and my The Great Gatsby nails featured here).
Have a blessed week ahead! xoxo
