I was absolutely stunned when the mailman showed up recently with a surprise package from the lovely folks from Kose. There were so many wonderful goodies inside, from gorgeously presented makeup coffret sets to the ultimate luxurious facial powder from Cosme Decorte. Since Christmas is looming in front of us, I don’t have enough time to fully test and review each item, so I will just share some pictures here today for you to experience their beauty, in case you would still like to run out to grab some additional gifts (or to hoard… no judgement from me!).
It feels like a real party to be presented with a beautiful embossed box with golden letterings emblazoned against white, and topped with a red bow. Unveiling the Cosme Decorte AQMW Makeup Coffret VI, I was first a little mystified by the single golden AQMW Eye Glow Gem [read about the formula here]. This little jar comes in a special bevelled golden lid with a diamante stud. The shade PK881 is limited edition, and an everyday wearable shimmering bronze.
If you reach out and lift the plastic tray up, you will uncover more treasures hidden within the coffret. There is a cream-to-powder blusher and highlighter duo palette in a pretty salmon pink and pale shimmering pink combination. To complement it is a AQMW Rouge Glow in a new limited edition shade PK861 which is pretty mauve pink. AQMW Lasting Gel Liner in shade BR303 completes the set.
They say the best things often come in small packages, and it is so true with this Cosme Decorte AQMW Eternal Bouquet gift coffret. The small cylindrical container is tied at the top with a red ribbon, and opens to reveal 2 finishing powders. Sitting on top is a compact face powder in a limited edition shade 03 housed in an intricate case. This has a slight purple tint that leaves the complexion with a fresh youthful look. Below it is a loose powder housed in an exclusive case with golden lid. There are 2 shade options for the loose powder – 11 and 80 both existing shades from the permanent line.
Not to be forgotten, are 2 new exclusive shades of the Cosme Decorte AQMW Eye Glow Gem [refer here for the review on the formula]. These shades are designed in collaboration with Japanese makeup artist Yusuke Kawakita, and are a blackened plum and a midnight blue. Both contain subtle micro-shimmers to give eyes a dimensional look.
And finally to the star of the show, the Cosme Decorte Marcel Wanders Collection VII. This is a very special collaboration between Cosme Decorte and Marcel Wanders, the latter being a contemporary Dutch designer, and feature a limited edition casing the houses the most exquisite face powder on earth. This year’s rendition is themed Romantic Butterfly, and follows the tale of a beautiful woman who has the magical ability to transform any woman’s skin to flawless silk. The palette is an asymmetrical oval with a plush silk top and bottom, held together with silver metal trims. There are 2 face powder palettes included in the set, each 15gm, and bearing a fairytale image of Miss Butterfly dancing amongst magical butterflies.
The Cosme Decorte Marcel Wanders face powders are somewhat of a legend, and has attained a revered status amongst the true beauty gurus. Priced at SGD370, this is definitely not your everyday powder. Formulated with silk, pearl and gold colloidal powders, this MW face powder goes on soft and airy. Fresh floral extract infused in white birch water, it keeps skin’s moisture levels, ensuring makeup stays fresh all day.
Cosme Decorte’s Christmas 2017 Collection is out in stores now. Catch them while they last!
