The humble facial cleanser gets a facelift this season. Chanel has made a bold move to completely remove traditional segregations by product lines, and focus on developing a family of cleansers suitable for all skin types.
Instead of ephemeral claims on skincare benefits, Chanel has reformulated its family of cleansers to be equally effective at removing makeup, pollution and grime. All 4 members contain blue micro-algae to help fight against pre-mature aging from pollution; and marine salicornia extract to boost skin’s ability to regulate water levels.
Each Chanel cleanser bear a different texture to meet every skin type and preference. I like L’huile to dissolve makeup at the end of a long day, and follow up with La Mousse for a fresh clean sensation. In the mornings, I enjoy waking up to Le Lait Fraicheur D’eau; and prefer Le Lait Douceur D’huile when my skin is feeling stressed.
All 4 rinses off well with water without leaving an oily film on my skin. You may also remove the Le Lait Fraicheur D’Eau and Le Lait Douceur D’huile with a cotton pad to aid with makeup removal. The only exception is the La Mousse which foams up nicely (not too much that it dries out my skin) when mixed with water. All 4 are so gentle they may be used on the eyes and lips as well.
Pick and choose the textures you prefer, or mix them up on a daily basis by listening to your skin’s needs. Whichever you choose, enjoy the same luxurious pampering you deserve!
