Biotherm Evermoist C.C. Cushion for #Unbeatableglow

March 3, 2016

Major cushion fever has struck!!  If you have been following my blog for awhile, you may have seen that when I first tried my first cushion oh-maybe-3 years ago, I was rather meh about it.  Since then, technology has really moved things along, and with more brands getting their cushion game on, there are real innovations and much more choices!  And to get things started, I’d like to share with you Biotherm’s latest foray into colour makeup – Evermoist C.C. Cushion!

Biotherm Evermoist CC Cushion

I am a fan of Biotherm skincare, particularly the Aquasource range for keeping my skin hydrated, and the Life Plankton Essence has grown into a staple in my skincare routine, helping me manage my easily-irritated skin.  I had introduced the Aquasource range and reviewed the Life Plankton Essence here in the past, feel free to hop on over for a read.  Now, combining the best of both worlds, Biotherm has created the Evermoist C.C. Cushion to bring out the best of my skin!

Biotherm Evermoist CC Cushion

The Biotherm Evermoist C.C. Cushion is formulated with Life Plankton cellular water to soothe and soften the skin, and the Aquasource technology keeps skin at optimal hydration levels for up to 4-hours continuously.  It also contains Adenosine which helps fight inflammations, and supports healthy cellular activity, thus keeping skin from pre-mature aging.  The inclusion of Symwhite gives this cushion powerful brightening properties, promising fairer complexions over time.  SPF23 / PA++ provides some basic, though nice to have, protection from UV rays.

The formula is lightweight, and has a watery texture that adheres well to the skin, giving it a dewy fresh finish.  Coverage is light and slightly buildable, although I still need a concealer to cover up dark circles, redness and spots.  The overall effect is very natural and fresh, and it feels wonderfully comfortable on the skin.

There are 2 shades available – Fair Beige and Natural Beige, and I am using Fair Beige in the comparison shot above.  It is a little light compared to my neck, but a good match for my actual skin tone on my face.  If you click to enlarge the photo, you will notice how Biotherm Evermoist C.C. Cushion has evened out my skin tone and blurred the look of my pores, whilst still remaining very natural looking.  It is perhaps one of the dewier cushions that I currently own, and I prefer to dust some loose powder over for a more satin finish; but it would be wonderful for those with dry and dehydrated skin.

With such a light coverage and moisturising formula, Biotherm Evermoist C.C. Cushion lasts about 6 hours on me (with a primer and powder), and then starts to crease and fade off.  It is perfect for casual days and weekends, and especially great for letting skin breathe and to show off your good skin days!

In Singapore, the case retails at $17 and the 2-pack refill retails at $52, making the total initial outlay $69.  From now until 14 March, trade in your old CC/ BB Cushion/ Foundation at any Biotherm counters in Singapore and receive a free case with purchase of the Evermoist CC Cushion Refills!

Ever brand is coming out with cushion foundations these days! I think we called it last year, predicting this would happen soon. I haven’t tried this, but I quite like Dior’s albeit pricey. Just received CLinique’s yesterday, but haven’t played with it yet 🙂

We complement each other very well, Lily. I’ve not tried Dior’s or Clinique’s… but I have YSL and Shu Uemura instead! Can’t wait to see your reviews!
