We are well into 2016, and whilst there are always new stuff to chase after, it is always a good idea to regroup and focus on some of the best in the market. There are so many to love, and sometimes the unsung heroes in our lives get lost in the crowded landscape. So today, I would like to share this gem that I’ve been loving for a while now – Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara!
Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara is not new to the market, in fact it has made its way into Lancome’s Top 10 best sellers, and there is a good reason why. The conical-shaped brush is narrow enough at the tip to reach the tiniest lashes at the inner corners of my eyes, whilst the brush is big enough to pump up the volume of my lashes. At the same time, the fine bristles ensure an even coating on all my lashes without clumping. I remember the first time I applied this mascara, I was amazed at how it curled my stubborn lashes up!
The formula is somewhat thin so it does not immediately cause your lashes to go from zero to a hot clumpy mess. Instead, you can build up to your desired volume. In the comparison image above, I had used 3 coats which is exactly how I like it. It gives my thin wispy lashes the much-needed definition, volumizes and holds them up. I’m much too lazy most mornings to curl my lashes, so I rely on my mascaras to give me that eye-opening boost, and the Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara does exactly that.
I have a serious problem with oily eye lids, and I have encountered only a small handful of mascaras in my life that are able to stay smudge-free on their own… and this is one of them. The one I have here is the Waterproof version, because I like to play it safe, but I have also used the non-waterproof version before and that worked just as well.
There are lots more to love from Lancome, including the recently launched Blanc Expert Cushion Compact. I love to reach for this when I need to bust out of the door in a hurry, as it has all the brightening and surface smoothening properties that I need without having to spend precious minutes prepping and priming. It also keeps my skin hydrated and my makeup fresh throughout the day. This Spring, Lancome has released 2 special Limited Edition cases – one adorned with lovely pink rose petals, and another featuring the Lancome girl perched high on top of the world on a reflective cover.
If you are looking to reinvigorate your beauty routine this Spring, why not head over to a Lancome counter in Singapore or pop over here to experience the Best of Lancome. In addition to the mascara and cushion compact, there are the Advanced Genifique and Genifique Light Pearl serums, Spot Eraser, Teint Miracle, Miracle EDP, UV Expert Aqua Gel, Renergie Day Cream, and L’Absolu Rouge. Get to experience a pampering session that starts with a 2-min aura skincare service preparing your skin with Génifique Serum and Light Pearl. Next, they will create your perfect complexion using your choice of foundation and enhance your look with a bold lip using the L’absolu Rouge Definition Lipstick. Finally, finish with a spritz of Lancôme Miracle Fragrance and walk away with a Personalised Sample Kit! So go ahead and Usher in Happiness this 2016!

I LOVE Hypnose Doll Eyes. It’s one of the mascaras that really work on my lashes. I’m actually really looking forward to Tom Ford’s Spring collection, especially the cream shadows. I’m eyeing a few, but I’ll definitely pick up Platinum which I missed out on earlier. Do you think it’ll be launched when I’m in Singapore during CNY?
Yay!!! I wonder why they aren’t more popular… but i guess that’s the way with most of Lancome’s products. I should be able to give you more insights on TF Spring collection by Wednesday, but these things always sell out on the first day though….
