It’s always fun checking out the holiday gift selections from The Body Shop, and this year was definitely an exciting one. Instead of snowflakes and mistletoe, The Body Shop brings us back to where it all came from – the wonderful, glorious natural forests!
Every Christmas, The Body Shop partners with a non-profit organization, and this year it has joined in the Bio-Bridges program that aims to restore 75 million square metres of forest by 2020! In addition to the original project location situated in Vietnam’s Khe Nuoc Trong forest, The Body Shop is extending help to Indonesia’s Batang Toru forest and the Endau Rompin landscape in Malaysia, to protect several endangered animal species such as the Red-shanked Douc, the Sumatran Orangutan and the Malayan tiger.
There are lots to choose from, and here are some of the highlights to pique your interest!
As always, The Body Shop has 3 limited edition collections featuring seasonal scents. A couple of them are perennial customer favorites albeit with some minor updates, and the new flavor this year is Vanilla Chai.
Vanilla Chai is the epitome of festive scents, and sure to stir up all sorts of feelz. The sweet, warm fragrance of vanilla is peppered with notes of cinnamon and cardamom… perfect for cuddling up after a sumptuous Christmas buffet! Relish in it from head to toe with the comprehensive range of body scrub, shower foam, lotion, hand cream, body mist, etc.
In case you prefer something fresher, you may like to consider the Frosted Berries range. The perfect balance of zesty cranberry, blackcurrant and raspberry; against the sweet florals of white flowers, praline and vanilla.
Spiced Apple is another hot favourite, featuring cold-pressed apple seed oil from the Alps; this range smells like apple pie! With just a hint of cinnamon, this range has the crispness of orange and white flowers, combined with tart juicy apples.
There is no better way to count down to Christmas than with a beautiful advent calendar. The Body Shop’s Happy Days Advent Calendar is not only packaged prettily, it also contains some of the best sellers in deluxe miniatures, perfect for travels.
If you simply can’t get enough, The Iconic Collection may be a good option for fans of The Body Shop. It contains some of the bestselling icons from the brand’s 40-year history, and certainly some of my favorites!
There are also lots of other wonderful gift sets to choose from – the cute apple-shaped Festive Tin, and big Tin of Delights, etc. There are gift set from each of the ranges apart from the 3 mentioned above, including fragrances and men’s care. Also, be sure to check out the thoughtfully curated skincare sets from The Body Shop’s popular Drops of Youth and Oils of Life ranges. Every specially selected Christmas gift sold will go towards protecting 1 square metre of rainforests!
In the very unlikely event you are unable to find something nice, be sure to pick up 1 or more of these Reggie bath sponges! Reggie, Rosie and Reggie Jnr are Red-Shanked Doucs, and one of the beneficiaries of this year’s campaign. So go ahead, and get acquainted now!
For the beautyjunkie who already has too much of everything, here is one that you not miss! The Body Shop is offering free personalization of their amazing body butters for this festive season. There is a series of roadshows going around, the next one is happening at Chevron House Level 1 on 5-7 December from 11am – 7pm!
The Body Shop Christmas 2016 Collection is out in stores now. Do pop by for perfectly packed gifts for your friends, family and colleagues!
Every Christmas I go crazy at the body shop and shop up a storm. This year was no exception. I got almost everything from the collection. My favourite scent is the spice apple. Xoxo
I love their theme this year!
Me too!! So unexpected, super fun!
I’m kind of sorry I’m not in marketing because I find the creativity of the way companies market their products absolutely fascinating.
I used to think the same way too… how fun, events after events! But then I got to know better how it all goes down, and I really don’t envy their jobs. 😉
