Bloom like a British Rose with The Body Shop

The Body Shop British Rose Exfoliating Gel Body Scrub [SGD36.90 for 250ml] is a gel-based body scrub with very fine beads for exfoliating.  It also contains finely-ground pieces of actual rose petals and a wonderful aroma that lingers softly on the skin afterwards.  The exfoliants are finer than the Fuji Green Tea Body Scrub [reviewed here] and more densely packed for a more thorough cleanse.

There is nothing that gets me into the romantic mood than a good, relaxing soak.  It is sometimes tricky to get the bath to foam up well, and to keep the bubbles intact long enough to really enjoy.  The Body Shop British Rose Petal-Soft Bath Foam [SGD26.90 for 250ml] makes drawing the perfect bath a breeze, and it fills the air with such an elegant yet light rose bouquet that I find it hard to extricate myself out of the bath!

My household can never get enough of shower gels, and my mom and I are always stocking up on The Body Shop’s shower gels.  Our latest obsession is The Body Shop British Rose Shower Gel [SGD14.90 for 250ml].  Lightly textured, it creates a nice lather and rinses off easily without stripping my dry, sensitive skin of its natural moisture.  And it leaves my bathroom smelling wonderfully of roses too!

After a decadent bath, the natural next step towards self-pampering is to massage some nourishing moisturizer.  There are 2 options in this collection, the first is The Body Shop British Rose Instant Glow Body Essence [SGD39.90 for 250ml].  This is a lightweight fluid body lotion that is deliciously scented with the British Rose fragrance, and quickly absorbed without leaving any greasiness.  It is perfect for daytime, especially if you need to get dressed in a dash.  Wonderful for our humid weather!

For evening pampering, I like to slather on The Body Shop British Rose Instant Glow Body Butter [SGD32.90 for 200ml].  I love The Body Shop’s range of body butters, especially the richer ones for dry skin as it feels really nourishing for my eczema-prone skin.  This British Rose scented body butter has a lighter texture, does not leave my skin feeling oily nor heavy, yet promises 24-hour hydration.

Continuing with the range, The Body Shop British Rose Petal-Soft Hand Cream [SGD21.90 for 100ml] keeps hands soft and hydrated.  It is instantly absorbed and completely non-greasy.  The small size is convenient for slipping into a purse, and is a lovely way to keep layering on the beautiful British Rose fragrance throughout the day.

And to complete the scent wardrobe is The Body Shop British Rose Eau De Toilette [SGD28.90 for 100ml].  Extremely gentle and soft, this is an intimate rose fragrance that brings a smile to my face every time I spritz it on.  Top notes of bergamot and tangerine gives it a juicy crispness that lends the fragrance its light-heartedness.  Heart of rose is amplified by waterlily and peony.  Finally, peach and musk completes the scent.

Overall, The Body Shop British Rose collection is very charming, an elegant unobtrusive take on the classic rose fragrance.  Everything is delicately scented, so it never gets overwhelming, instead everything layers well with each other.  Lovers of rose scents should definitely check this collection out!
