Are you blessed with naturally long, luscious, fluttery lashes? I wished I was, but sadly mine are quite the opposite. They are of ok-length, I think, but stick-straight and downward pointing. My heavily hooded lids and oily undereye complicate things further, smudging even the most “waterproof” of mascaras. To get my lashes looking presentable, I use as many as 3 different products on a daily basis to prime, volumnize/lengthen, and set. So imagine my pleasure when I discovered the 1 mascara to rule them all – By Terry Lash-Expert Twist Brush Double Effect Mascara!
The latest Lash-Expert Twist Brush mascara from By Terry looks simple enough when first opened, the straight long brush combs through easily, giving my lashes natural definition and providing some lengthening effect. The magic happens when you give the top of the handle a slight twist (just follow the visual cues printed on the top), and the brush transforms into a spiral that immediately adds volumes to the lashes!
By Terry Lash-Expert Twist Brush is formulated with natural protective oils such as jojoba, olive and avocado to nourish, protect and strengthen those precious lashes. I also love how intense the black pigment is, so that my lashes are instantly more visible. The best part is that even though the mascara is not labelled as either waterproof nor smudgeproof, I have not encountered any smudging at all even though I’ve cut out my usual lash primer!
In the past, I would use a volumnizing mascara followed by a separate lengthening mascara, but now the By Terry Lash-Expert Twist Brush is able to fulfill both effects in one nifty tube. I like to start with the wand twisted to setting 2 for the spiral brush and give my lashes a generous coat, then switch over to setting 1 for the straight brush and comb out any kinks and for additional lengthening effects. Regardless of which I use, my lashes are made to curve gracefully upwards and they stay in place all day!
By Terry Lash-Expert Twist Brush Double Effect Mascara is now available at Sephora and Escentials in Singapore.
