Continuing on my coverage of Shu Uemura’s FW 2015 Vision of Beauty Vol. 2 Collection, I’d like to show you the limited edition Rouge Unlimited that are part of this <Haute Street> theme. There are 4 Rouge Unlimited in the collection in 2 different formulas – Central and Supreme Shine. I have 3 of them to show you today – City Neon, Avenue Sunset and Brick Burgundy. Let me just state upfront that these Rouge Unlimited have become my favourites ever since I received them!
Rouge Unlimited Central is the main lipstick formula from Shu Uemura, and it offers true color pay-off in a non-sticky and silky gliding texture. The 2 limited edition shades in this VOB 2 collection are City Neon and Avenue Sunset.
City Neon is a medium pink with a lustrous finish. It looked warm-toned in the tube but applies to a neutral pink on my lips. In just 1 swipe, it covers my lips well without any translucency, and feels wonderfully moisturizing on my lips.
Avenue Sunset is a warm-toned coral red with a lustrous finish. This one is slightly sheerer than City Neon, but can be built up with 2 or more swipes to give full opacity. Personally, I actually prefer my reds slightly sheerer for daily wear, unless I intend to go full on drama, which is why I actually really like the shiny yet sheer finish of Avenue Sunset.
Brick Burgundy surprised me the most out of the lot. It is of the Rouge Unlimited Supreme Shine formula and gives off the most gorgeous glossy finish with the texture of a creamy lipstick. The color has some translucency to it, and regardless of how you try to layer on, it never really achieves full opacity. However, it is a lovely daily wearable berry shade that I simply adore! It was unexpected as Brick Burgundy looked rather dark and almost brown in the tube!
I hoped you enjoyed the various looks presented above. All of the eye looks shown above were created with the Vision of Beauty Vol. 2 Haute Street Warm x Vibrant Palette that was reviewed yesterday. The cheeks were all blushed with the limited edition Tint in Gelato from the same collection, which I will review tomorrow!
This post featured products that were sent to me by Shu Uemura Singapore for my consideration. Regardless, all opinions expressed here are my own honest, and unbiased views.
Wow, loving Brick Burgundy on you! It is really surprising and doesn’t look anything like the bullet.
