The Laneige Two Tone Correcting and Contouring Bars come in a unique triangle shape that make it easy to apply accurately even in small parts of the face, and the wide surface makes it quick to work with. The texture is a silky balm that adheres well to the face, is easy to blend using fingers, and stays put without muddying when foundation is patted over. There are 4 shades for color correction and 2 contouring bars.
The Laneige Two Tone Correcting Bars are:
- Primer – this is a near-colourless stick that is formulated with a smoothing gel and light beige powder to fill in fine lines and smoothen skin texture. It is designed to be used all over the face as a first makeup step.
- Pink Coral – the coral tip corrects dark circles and shadows around the lips, whilst the pink brightens the face. Swipe it together under the eyes to conceal and highlight at the same time; or use only the tip around the mouth or as needed to banish darkness.
- Purple Blue – reflects light and brightens the skin, giving a luminous effect to the skin. Use it as a highlighter wherever needed.
- Mint Lemon – light yellow tip helps to conceal dark circles and highlight areas that require volume; and mint green reduces redness. Use them together or separately as needed.

Next up, there are 2 Laneige Two Tone Contouring Bars. These are fairly intuitive, and are meant to be used under the cheekbones, along the jaw and temples to give the illusion of a smaller and more sculpted face. There are 2 shades – a slightly lighter and warmer-toned, and another darker and cooler-toned. Both of the shades are of an intensity that I personally found easy to use for the average NC/NW20-30 skintone. Here are the swatches for your reference:
Although I found it extremely easy to blend these out using my fingers, Laneige has also introduced a blending brush for those who prefer not to dirty their hands. Of course, you can use your own foundation brush or sponges as you desire.
These are really quite innovative, and a lot of fun to use. I like that they are lightweight, sleek and easy to travel with.
