I’ve never been much of a lip gloss kind of gal, I like my lippies to pack colour and opacity, so glosses never really fit the bill. Of course, the industry has evolved tremendously, and there are plenty of pigmented glosses in the market today. However, most of them do not have much in the way of longevity, until now. The new Lancôme L’absolu Lacquer perfectly transcends the gloss and liquid lipstick divide. With vivid colour pay-off with a glossy finish and customizable opacity, this is a gloss unlike any other. What seals the deal is the 6-hour long lasting hold, and even when the gloss is completely gone, it leaves a nice stain behind.

All the swatches are 2 layers of products, and on my pigmented lips the Lancôme L’absolu Lacquer turned out pretty well. Opacity seems to vary sightly depending on the shades, with 315 Energy Shot being more translucent than the rests, but overall they all do a great job for everyday wear. More importantly, they feel much more hydrating and comfortable than anything else in my lippie wardrobe.
