The Guerlain moon came out in full force last week here in Singapore, lighting up the air and pulling my world out of orbit. The only reason why I didn’t report on it straight away (well, actually I did sneak some shots on Instagram… ;)) was because it was first launched in Takashimaya, which for some mysterious reason lies in a black hole just outside of my beauty universe (it really shouldn’t!). Well, the other reason is because I’m fiercely loyal to my SA over at TANGS who has mind-reading abilities. But when the party moved over to Sephora Ion this week, I was inexorably drawn into its gravitational force field. Just in case you are still wondering, I’m talking about the launch of Guerlain’s Fall 2013 collection: Voilette de Madames, of course!
Guerlain introduces its exclusive Fall 2013 Voilette de Madame collection, composed to make every woman irresistible, expressing her seduction and personality with style and femininity. Madame’s ultimate accessory, the veil, is the inspiration for this season’s collection. Like Madame herself, the veil gives only small glimpses into a woman’s mysterious world. And as Madame unveils herself, her secrets come to light.
This Fall 2013 collection has an amazing array of gorgeousness for every beauty connoisseur. It consists of:
This year, Guerlain is celebrating the legendary Météorites’ 26th anniversary by releasing a limited edition Météorites Perles “Light is in the Air” in Paris Paradise. This essentially the same as the classic Météorites Perles in shade 01 Teint Rose but with a special packaging.
When I picked up my first Guerlain product over 10 years ago (a KissKiss lipstick!), I felt the rest of the line to be more suitable for more matured ladies. Well, perhaps I have indeed grown a lot since then, but I do feel the brand has been trying much harder to woo the younger and trendier crowd, yet maintain its sensual womanly essence. The colors this season are all incredibly fresh even for a Fall collection, especially the sparkly eyeshadows and the semi-sheer pink lipstick & lip glosses. The blush is oh-so-pretty, a genuine TDF collectible! The colored eye pencils are new, and I think a good offering for the more adventurous. I will be reviewing & providing swatches for some of these very shortly, but in the meantime, here are my personal picks!
As part of the Sephora campaign, there are some very special gift-with-purchases in store!
With so many gorgeous pieces, and the sweet GWP over at Sephora, my credit card is getting a massive workout. Seen anything you like yet?
