Estee Lauder Crescent White is a brand new skincare & makeup collection that was launched worldwide last month. It was specifically created for and tested on Asian women, and is intended to work skin’s natural circadian rhythm for fairer, brighter complexion. The Crescent White Full Cycle Brightening system includes 4 skincare products, 1 sunscreen, and 2 makeup products. I have already reviewed the 2 makeup items (a BB Creme and a Powder Makeup) here, and would like to introduce the rest of the collection today.
Recent studies have shown that the human body’s internal clock plays a big part in regulating the modulation of skin cells based on the time of the day, and that disruption of this circadian rhythm can cause tissue aging. During the day, skin experiences a drop in its natural protective functions, and is vulnerable to assaults from UV exposure and environmental pollution. Over time, accumulated damage to the skin may result in pigmentation. Interestingly, the skin’s cellular response to such accumulated damage is most active at night, creating spots and discolorations. Therefore, to ensure complete brightening care, Estee Lauder’s Crescent White Full Cycle Brightening skincare collection contains naturally-derived botanicals to work with the skin’s inherent day/night cycle. The ingredients include powerful anti-oxidants to protect skin against harmful free radicals, baicailin to neutralize the effects of pollution and uv, sea fern extract to inhibit melanin production, licorice to minimize irritation responses, and molasses extract to break up accumulated pigmentation.
The Crescent White collection consists of 4 skincare & 1 sunscreen products that are meant to be used both in the day and night.
Estee Lauder Crescent White Full Cycle Brightening Cleanser [SGD58]
This is a very lovely foaming cleanser that has a rich texture and leaves my skin feeling perfectly cleansed. It thoroughly removes any dirt and environmental irritants on the surface of the skin without stripping the skin of its moisture. A tiny bit is sufficient to build up sufficient foam to cleanse the whole face, and it is a glorious experience with the light floral scent. As with all good foaming cleansers, this one did not dry out my skin nor left it feeling tight and uncomfortable.
Estee Lauder Crescent White Full Cycle Brightening Moisture Treatment Lotion [SGD94]
This Estee Lauder Crescent White Full Cycle Brightening Moisture Treatment Lotion is a very gentle, watery fluid that helps to condition the skin after cleansing. It gives my dry skin a boost of hydration and feels quite pampering with its lovely scent and texture. It also prepares my skin for the treatments that follow.
Estee Lauder Crescent White Full Cycle Brightening Spot Corrective Essence [SGD168]
The star product in the collection, this Estee Lauder Crescent White Full Cycle Brightening Spot Corrective Essence contains the highest level of the new Light Cycle QD Complex. In the daytime, it contains technology that helps skin defend against daily UV assaults that can cause excess pigmentation. Naturally-derived ingredients soothes skin irritation, minimizing damage and consequently prevents spot formation and uneven skintone. It is also packed with anti-oxidants to protect skin against free radicals. At night, the Light Cycle QD Complex targets accumulated pigment to dissolve them, inhibits melanin production, and calms skin irritation.
After using this for about a month, I noticed my skin looking more radiant and less dull. I can’t report on any spot elimination because I don’t have any pigmentation at the moment. Regardless, this is one of my favorite items from the range as it feels very soothing and moisturizing on my skin. The texture is a lightweight milky fluid that absorbs into my skin very quickly.
Estee Lauder Crescent White Full Cycle Brightening Moisture Crème [SGD114]
I’m very fussy about my moisturizers and have been using different moisturizers for day and night for many years now. For daytime, I prefer something lightweight and hydrating, whilst for nightime I usually reach for something reacher and packed with anti-aging ingredients. So it is an interesting reversal to find a moisturizer that is designed to be used both in the day and night, AND actually fits my lifestyle perfectly! The Estee Lauder Crescent White Full Cycle Brightening Moisture Creme has a lightly-whipped gel-creme texture that is incredibly lightweight and absorbs quickly without any stickiness. It goes deep-down into the skin to provide lasting hydration and helps strengthen the skin’s moisture barrier. Just like every other item in this collection, it is equipped with the Light Cycle QD that works differently in the day and night to help skin resist and diminish dark spots. I found it perfectly hydrating in the day time throughout my long hours without causing my t-zone to look oily; and sufficiently rich and nourishing at night. Every night that I wore this to sleep, I would wake up to brighter skin!
Estee Lauder Crescent White Full Cycle Brightening UV Protector SPF50/PA++++ [SGD92]
No brightening skincare is complete without a good sunscreen, and the Estee Lauder Crescent White Full Cycle Brightening UV Protector comes with SPF50 / PA++++ for maximum protection! It is a light cream that dries down completely and does not leave the skin feeling greasy. Fortified with anti-oxidants and anti-irritants, this calms the skin while protecting it.
I have been really enjoying this new Estee Lauder Crescent White Full Cycle Brightening collection! It is a fairly simple and straightforward 4-step skincare with a good sunscreen to complete all your skin’s needs. Everything is lightly scented with an amazing floral bouquet, nothing overpowering or lingering, but just incredibly pleasurable to indulge in. The textures are the best – lightweight, neither overly heavy nor silicon-y. Most importantly, my skin seems to love it all!
