It has been an incredibly long time since I last picked up some Dior Le Vernis, but I was captivated by Lilas from the new Diorsnow Spring 2017 Collection, and whilst I was at the counter, I decided to pick up its companion Spring Bud as well. I am glad I got both of them, because they turned out to be so much prettier in real life than those sneak images!
Dior Le Vernis Spring Bud (100) is a pale minty green that has a cool base. It is one of those creams that Dior does exceptionally well, but sprinkled with a multitude of micro shimmers. I see purple, green, and gold; but they are so fine they are mostly hidden except under sunlight.
Dior Le Vernis Lilas (180) is a pale lavender that has a slight grey-cast to it. Similar to Spring Bud, Lilas is a cream finish with lots of hidden micro-shimmers in it. These are mostly violet and green, and are not easily visible except under bright lights.
As with most Dior Le Vernis, I found both Spring Bud and Lilas to be incredibly easy to apply, especially with the flattened wide brush. They dry almost instantaneously, and are fully opaque and streak-free with 2 coats. I get decent longevity with these, averaging about 3 days before seeing signs of tip-wear.
The Diorsnow collection is exclusive to Asia, but I’m always happy to help – just give me a shout. Out in counters already – have you seen them? Happy #maniMonday!
