Happy Monday beauties! Dior launched its Diorsnow 2014 collection over a week ago, and I had a chance to stop by to check them out in person. Here is a quick look at some of the items that are available, and my initial thoughts.
The main attraction of the collection is the Diorsnow Fresh Cheeks Glowing Colour Blush.
There are 3 varying shades of pink and a peach shade, that combine to give a soft shimmery pink. I was a little hesitant on this as it swatched with a strong white cast on my hand. Regardless, I was persuaded to try it on my cheeks just to be sure.
On my NC20-25 complexion, the pink seems just nice for a spring look. However, I’m not sure if this will be flattering on darker or warmer complexions. Notwithstanding, the blush on its own is not very strongly pigmented, so it can work as a cheek highlighter in combination with another blush. The blush has some soft shimmers, they mostly fall away when applied on my cheeks so no worries about disco ball cheeks, but it sufficiently prevents the blush from turning too chalky matte or emphasizing my pores.
Another interesting item in the Diorsnow collection is the Dior 5 Couleur Palette #874 Tenderness.
I found the textures and pigmentation on these to be waaay better than any of the eyeshadow palettes in Dior’s Trianon Collection (reviewed here). They felt soft to the touch, and the colors are all very smooth and show up well.
I did not pick this up because I am full-up on Spring palettes already, but if you still have room to spare or love these pink/coral shades, then #874 Tenderness is one to check out.
The Diorsnow collection also consists of 2 limited edition Diorsnow Vernis – a sweet glittery pink and a softer glittery peach. There is also 1 Dior Addict Gloss (a clear pink gloss), and 1 Diorsnow Lip Maximizer Collagen Activ (a translucent shimmery gloss).

Together with the capsule makeup collection discussed above, Dior has also revamped its entire Diorsnow skincare and base product line, adding floral infused water to the ingredient mix which has improved hydration benefits.

The Diorsnow collection is Asia exclusive and the capsule makeup collection is limited edition, but they are usually available in the US during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. If you can’t wait until the summer, and would like some help getting hold of something, feel free to reach out!

I agree with the comments above, it’s a beautiful blush, both in the pan and in yourself. But to me, it looks more winter-y than spring-y. It reminds me of the flush you get sometimes when it’s really cold outside.
You’re right… It’s very pale and white. Personally, I would wear this layered sheer on top of a warmer or brighter blush for dimension & highlighting!
That blush looks so beautiful in the pan. And it was lovely on you. 🙂
The blush looks really beautiful on you ♡♡♡
thank you dear! xx
