I’m feeling on a high lately, as the Courrèges for Estee Lauder Collection has just landed in Singapore! Initially intended for Spring 2015, this collection was so popular and soldout in the US that the stocks have only just made their way to our shores. But they are here now, and have launched at selected Estee Lauder locations in Singapore this week. As everything is limited edition and so amazingly good, I’m going to get through the entire collection these 2 days, so you still have the time to acquire your own pieces!
Courrèges is a French fashion label that is known for futuristic designs and lots of fun. Their little white dresses and silver accessories has become icons of the house’s design sensibilities. And so, for their makeup collaboration with Estee Lauder, everything has taken a space-age cool vibe, and are packaged in white with silver trimmings. The 13-piece limited edition collection is bound to inject a touch of fun into our beauty wardrobe!
Eye Glide Pencil in Silver Streak is a twist-up jumbo eyeshadow pencil with a rounded bullet. The shape, size and design of the holder is very reminiscent to the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour; but I was very happy to find the formula is way superior. It glides on smoothly, and there is a good period of time to blend and work with it before it sets. Once it sets, the Courreges Estee Lauder Eye Glide Pencil stays in place all day without creasing, fading or budging! There is only 1 shade – Silver Streak – and it is a lovely metallic silver with iridescent shimmers that become more noticeable when you sheer it out.
Ultra White EyeLiner in Lunar White is a vivid white liquid eyeliner with a fine brush applicator. White eyeliners are very on trend at the moment, but the problem with pencils is they tend to sheer out or apply patchy so the impact is lost. Courreges Estee Lauder’s Ultra White EyeLiner comes with a budgeproof liquid formula that does not smudge nor crease even on my crazy hooded lids, which puts it way above most other Western-branded liquid eyeliners. However, I did find the formula a little too watery, so that it sheers out as you work, requiring at least 2 – 3 redips in order to finish. Also, I had a little bit of problem controlling this long, thin brush. As a result, I found it difficult to create a perfectly smooth feline flick. Regardless, it works for some unexpected cool and fun eye looks! Wear it on its own bold, or layer one of the iridescent eye colors from the collection over the liner for a brightening effect!
For the eye look above, I’ve applied the Eye Glide Pencil in Silver Streak close to my lash line and smudged upwards. I didn’t take it too high as I was trying to recreate a sort of “sandwich” liner effect that I saw on a magazine with the Ultra White EyeLiner in between Silver Streak and a black liner kept close to my lash line.
To complete the look, Courreges Estee Lauder has designed the Super Gloss in Rosy Future. Ladies, this is hands down, the best lip gloss I have ever tried!!! It comes in a cool pump-up tube that allows the gloss to flow-through to the metallic tip, the latter being flattened and wide enough to help smooth out the gloss. The pump is also well-built enough that allows for softer touches to dispense the tiniest bit at a time for a sheerer wash of color instead of full-on opacity.
My love for Super Gloss extends far beyond the funky packaging, but the gloss itself is highly pigmented, and non-sticky. It is a super glossy, bold but very wearable bright pink with hints of shimmer hidden inside. Thanks to the ability to dispense just a tiny bit, it can be worn sheer as well for just a touch of pink. What I love about Super Gloss is its amazing longevity – I literally applied at 9am, drank a cup of latte, innumerable glasses of water, ate lunch, had a cup of tea and it is still there!! Not only does it leave just the hint of a stain, there is some shine as well and my lips feel wonderfully moisturized.

And to put the look into context, here is my very first attempt at rocking the white liner trend!
Courreges Estee Lauder LOTD featuring Eye Glide Pencil on lids followed by Ultra White EyeLiner, completed by black liquid liner and mascara. Am also wearing THREE Color Veil for Cheeks in Sweet Thing and Courreges Estee Lauder Super Gloss on lips. Finished with light dusting of Courreges Estee Lauder Illuminations Face Powder on nose ridge and cheek bones. Please feel free to click to zoom.
I would love some time to experiment a bit more, but I wanted to get this review out to you so you still have time to pick up the collection before they sell out! You should also check out the look that Sara created with the Ultra White EyeLiner, I loved how Super Gloss looked on her here! Courrèges for Estee Lauder Collection is available exclusively at the Ion Orchard Boutique, TANGS Beauty Hall and online at Luxola from now for a limited time only. If you have any questions, I’d be happy to answer them below, or stay tuned for tomorrow’s post for the rest of the collection!
This post featured products that were kindly sent to me by Estee Lauder Singapore for my consideration. Regardless, all opinions expressed here are my own honest, unbiased views.
Wow you rock that gloss girl! You also worked nicely with tipp-ex white haha
As did you, Sara *applause applause*
Oh my, it all looks fantastic. The quality of that white liner seems to be good enough and very opaque. It is unusual enough to give it a go. And that gloss… it looks stunning on you!
Yes it’s certainly one of the better white liners I’ve seen so far, and not too bad in terms of opacity if you have the patience to do small sections at a time. That gloss is a must have!!
I love the look of white liner on you, Linda. I mean, application might be tricky, but you made it work 🙂
Thanks Lily, this one was definitely tricky, and i found just getting as thin a line to look best than if I tried to make it bolder…. more room for patchiness i think!
