I have recent gotten hooked on lip oils because there is nothing that feels more amazing and pampering! With all the new liquid lip stains and matte lipsticks that have been trending lately, my lips need all the help they can get. And the new Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil is the best of the lot!
Clarins’ Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil is inspired by their popular Face and Body Treatment Oils, I’ve tried both of the latter and now with the new lip oil I think Clarins has the entire category of oils perfected. Unlike others before it, Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil transcends both skincare and makeup, offering the perfect exquisite lip oil experience whilst providing a hint of colour. The texture is super fine, silky smooth as you would expect of oil, but it is lightweight and thin. It also does not leave my lips feeling sticky nor does it leave oil stains behind on my cups.
Clarins offers us 3 lightly tinted shades:
The applicator deserves special mention because it is oversized and plush, hugging the lips perfectly coating them with an even layer of lip oil with a single swipe. When you try to remove it from the tube, there is a slight suction force and the applicator picks up just the right amount of product you need to cover the lips. There is no need to re-dip the applicator into the tube, keeping things as sanitary as possible.
As you may expect coming from skincare experts, Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil is formulated with lots of skin-loving ingredients. Hazelnut oil nourishes, plumps and softens the lips; and Jojoba oil further amps up the hydration factor of this lip oil, making it perfect for chapped lips. The Honey shade includes Mirabelle oil which is known for prevent dehydration, and the Raspberry shade contains Raspberry oil to nourish and restore soft supple lips.
I love that Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil is first and foremost designed like a skincare, and yet it leaves a lustrous shine and a lovely hint of color behind like you would expect from good makeup. These are already available in Singapore, so give them a try when you can!
