Amazingly, it has been more than a year since Lucia Pica took over creative helm for Chanel makeup. For her inaugural collection, she chose to shake up classical sensibilities with the bold Le Rouge Collection N°1; and this Christmas 2017 is going festive red with Collection Libre 2017!

It has been an incredibly intense couple of weeks at work, so much so that I found myself rushing to work a few days ago without any time to spare. I grabbed a couple of jumbo eyeshadow pencils and a lipstick, and took off, slapping things on in the car as I went. All this made possible thanks to a handful of new Cosme Decorte AQMW Eye Crayons!

I remember when a black eyeliner was all I needed to consider my eye makeup done… of course that was before my lids started drooping, making it harder for most eyeliners to stay in place. These days, I still use eyeliners on a daily basis, to make my small Asian eyes stand out, and my lashes fuller. And so, when I received a bunch of brand new eyeliners from Kose’s Esprique makeup line, I knew I would have a lot of fun with them!

Much as I love bold, edgy makeup collections, it is often the softer, everyday colors that speak to and sell well with the average woman. And so, I appreciate very much Lucia Pica’s thoughtfulness in curating an alternate look within the Chanel Travel Diary Collection for Fall 2017. But beyond just keeping fans happy, Chanel has also launched a couple of exciting new makeup items this season, and I’ll be sharing my thoughts with you today!

I’ve never been as big a fan of cream eye color singles as I am this season… there seemed to have been a fundamental technological change that has made them better than ever before. Shiseido makes a bold statement with its new Paperweight Cream Eye Color and Inkstroke Eyeliner, both inspired by the Japanese art of calligraphy. Both are formulated as cream shades, but so unlike anything else in the market.

I have always thought the term “millennial” referred to the teenagers who were born in the early 2000’s, but only just found out the “official” definition starts from the late ’70s or ’80s. Which made me feel younger than I really am, and much more relevant than I had hoped. And no brand speaks stronger to the millennial-lifestyle than Nudestix, with their tag line of #gonudebutbetter. It’s all about effortless makeup – skin-loving colors and fuss-free application, allowing us to get out of the door and on with our lives. This Summer, I’m clearing out my vanity, and keeping things simple with just a handful of products. And here are some recent releases from Nudestix you can consider for your next vacation!
