THREE Cosmetics has always favoured minimalistic functionality over excessive girlie frills in its product packaging, but I was still surprised by the stark black zippered pouch containing the latest Holiday 2018 palettes. Having relied on it for the past weeks though, I think the small palm-sized pouches and virtually destruction-proof packaging are absolutely brilliant for travels and on-the-go makeup. This season’s Art of Parties Collection feature 2 makeup palettes, and the one I have here is called Life of the Party.

Hello from Cologne, Germany! This is my 3rd business trip this month, and hopefully the last for the year. What a difference a couple of month made… it was at least partially sunny when I was here last September, now winter makes its dominance noticeable with grey skies and fog. No better time to whip out the 2 new palettes from Hourglass for my personal lighting crew. Launched exclusively for this Holiday 2018, check out the swatches below.

Most of the makeup you find at Sephora are chic and sleek, so imagine my surprise when I glimpsed a completely new concept that stood in stark contrast. With vintage-inspired packaging that has an element of youthful fun without falling into the junior category, and a name that almost makes fun of itself, Pretty Vulgar is the latest brand to hit our shores and it’s time to take a look at some of the offerings!

THREE Cosmetics seems to have taken an interesting turn in its makeup aesthetics, moving ever farther away from the generic girlie cuteness that most Japanese brands are prone to, setting the pace with graphic editorial looks. The latest feature look for the Wild Cosmic Child A/W 2018 collection looks futuristic and mod, with a distinctly British vibe, which is neither cosmic nor wild. Regardless, if you consider the ability to transcend different genres, and stride boldly in an ever-challenging urban society, then you have finally found the mark.

Fall is one of my favourite seasons, and this round Chanel is bringing fashion runway sensibilities to life. Apotheosis Le Mat de Chanel plays with textures to create visual intensity, creating mesmerising gazes to bold unapologetic lips and edgy tips. There is plenty to explore, with a variety of options to achieve Lucia Pica’s tailored femme fatale look.

Make Up Store produces makeup that looks good for the every day woman, and does not play by conventional seasonal trends. The latest collection features 3 different looks, including of course a bronzed, sun-kissed siren. For the romantic, there are beautiful pieces to create a flirty and airy look. There are also a couple of edgier items for those who wish to exercise their creative freedom.
