It’s been an amazing year in many ways, and I hope you’ve enjoyed all the product reviews or introductions here on the blog. Reality is, it takes much more time to write a skincare/bodycare/haircare review than makeup. On the other hand, I think it is far easier to get through those products, and so I’ve taken to documenting my empties to better speak to my fondness of some of these stuff that never makes it to the blog. There are way too many to go into detail here, so please feel free to ask any questions in the comments section below!

We are counting down to the final months of this year… isn’t it unbelievable? Work has been insane lately, because of course, all the transactions have to drop at the same time. It’s definitely been a very productive couple of months, and I’m excited to share this bumper crop of #empties.

In the blink of an eye, 2 months have passed, and it is time for another update on #projectempties. June and July turned out to be surprisingly productive across all categories, including skincare, body care and makeup.

Hello hello!! Today’s post is a first of its kind here on Silverkis’ World… It started out with a resolution to make a dent in my ever-growing pile of products, and then I thought it’d be cool to document my progress monthly. There is a huge sense of satisfaction in amassing these empties and then photographing them for posterity. And then when thumb-icitis starts to become a real threat as I struggle to pen down my final words on each of these products, I figured it was time to type them on a proper keyboard instead. Where better to type them all down, than on the blog! This is not meant to be actual reviews, but really just my own personal thoughts. I hope to be as succinct as possible, the first things that come to mind as I view each one of them, and then I’ll link up full reviews where I have them. Hopefully this will be a fun read for you, and grow into a real series over time!

It has been almost a year since I started my hair journey with Chez Vous, and I thought it is time for an update. For the past 15 years of my life, I’ve been bleaching, dyeing, perming and straightening my hair through all kinds of stressful processes. And until I met the guys at Chez Vous, I had never enjoyed this level of thoughtful care for my hair. I was born with a relatively thick mane, combined with a stubborn natural propensity to curl in odd unmanageable places. Though chemical processes like rebonding and perming helped, over the years I found these to be less and less effective. At the same time, my hair has become frizzier and more prone to breakage. This is because the internal structure of my hair cuticles have grown porous from multiple processing, and the natural keratin and nutrients have been leached out. Regular salon hair “treatments” did not help, most were nothing more than merely slapping on a hair mask and sitting under a steamer. The only treatment that truly left a noticeable improvement to my hair was Chez Vous’ Trilogy System Suite [reviewed here] that comprised of 3 separate but complementary treatments to rebuild, resculpt, and revitalize. And now, there is an even more advanced, 3-in-1 treatment that does all of the above, fixes over-processed hair and restores softness and smoothness in just 120 minutes. Let me introduce you to Chez Vous’ Hair Botox + Fillers Programme!

My hair has been constantly dyed since I was 18, and I regularly put it through chemical processes like rebonding and perming, so I am very diligent about my haircare, more so than bodycare. Whilst my bathroom is permanently stocked with all manners of treatment conditioners and masks, and of course I go for regular salon treatments; there is nothing better than protecting and preventing damage to the hair to begin with. Klorane is a brand that I’ve come to rely on for gentle and kind products, not only for myself but for my entire family.
