After a really content heavy week, I am finally finding some time to get to the last instalment of this mini-series. I hope you have been enjoying all the various eye makeup palettes of late, and today I’d like to bring you 2 more from Marc Jacobs’ Eye-conic Collection – Sartorial and Edgitorial!

It is the season for holiday collections, and I have lots to share with you. But ever since I started at my new firm, the days are passing in a blur, and by the time I get home at night, I just pass out. So, with a pipeline of goodies and limited bandwidth to express myself out here, the usual first in first out policy takes a back seat against prioritizing limited editions. But even in spite of it all, what I have been burning to share with you, is something that I’ve been absolutely loving to bits lately…. the new La Mer Skincolor Collection!

You know the season’s changing when the colors change, and base products turn richer. This year we didn’t quite see too many super sheer, natural skin-like foundations; instead, the cushion technology has taken the world by storm. Much as I like some of them, I still find myself reaching for my foundations; and with my recent bout of breakouts, prefer something with higher coverage and a cream texture that is able to smoothen out the bumps and accompanying dry flakes. And so, it was perfect timing when I received SUQQU’s latest base duo – comprising of a Treatment Primer and Extra Rich Cream Foundation!

I sometimes feel very fortunate to be living in Singapore where everything is so easily accessible. It was not until I started living abroad some years ago that I realized how much of a difference that monthly pedicure made to the condition of my feet! There are of course the immediately obvious things like chipped nail polish and overgrown cuticles; but what caused me the greatest discomfort is when my heels crack and my soles form calluses. Back in the good old days I resorted to manual files when I cannot get myself to a reliable nail salon, but those can be a lot of work and do more harm than good if not used properly. So I was super excited to try the new Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi Electronic Foot File!

Hello my dears!! It’s so nice to be back on the blog again… I hope you have enjoyed hearing from the lovely ladies who had guest blogged here over the past 2 weeks. Italy was really awesome, I love the country and it was a much needed break. I’ve some pictures over on my Instagram if you’d like to take a little trip vicariously, and I may write about it some time later here if you’d like to read about it – let me know in the comments below! In any case, while I was traveling, I decided to take things easy on the makeup front, just the barest whisper of color so I look healthy without having to worry about smudging liners or blending colors perfectly. Instead, I focused on ensuring my skin remained healthy and natural looking. Sometime later in the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing some of my skincare essentials for traveling, but today, I’d like to show you some of my favorites from Rouge Bunny Rouge!

When I first started investing in makeup brushes, Chikuhodo with their famed Z-series squirrel brushes were the epitomy of luxury to me. But much as I loved those soft silky squirrel brushes, sometimes I prefer goat for picking up more product (especially for meteorites and some sheer blushes). Goat hair is also hardier, and can withstand more abuses and washes. If anything, I found that good goat hair brushes retain their original texture far longer than squirrel, which lose their initial brand new silkiness almost right away. The question is therefore finding the best goat hair brushes that are as soft as squirrel, and as hardy as goat. And when Chikuhodo launched the Takumi brushes, I thought I had found the holy grail.
