Foundations are intended to perfect our complexions, but in order to capture that perfect selfie on camera, By Terry has introduced the most forward-thinking foundation product to date.

Housed in a convenient pocket-sized tube, By Terry Nude-Expert Duo Stick is perfect for application on the go and allows for touch-ups so that you are always ready for spontaneous photography.  The stick twists up and down, and contains a satin matte foundation on one half, and a luminous highlighter on the other side.  There is even a blending sponge built into the opposite end of the stick so flawlessness is no longer an illusion.

Swiping the flattened tip across the skin results in equal parts of foundation and highlighter applied, leaving a glowy, porcelain-like finish.  There is of course the option of using only the foundation or highlighter sides for a more matte base and to sculpt the high points of the face.  Whichever side you choose, the formula is silky and easy to apply, and feels virtually weightless on the skin.  This is the lightest foundation I have ever tried, and yet provides a surprisingly good buildable coverage.  Formulated with an Intensive Mimetic Camouflage Technology, the By Terry Nude-Expert Duo Stick has built-in filter-like correcting prisms and light micro-sensors to reflect skin’s radiance.  Spherical pixel-focus powder pigments blur fine lines and wrinkles to give skin a smooth appearance.  There are currently 7 shades available in the range, and I have swatched 5 of them above.  Shade No. 2.5 Nude Light is a good match for my roughly NC25 complexion.

As you can see from the half-faced comparison shot above, By Terry Nude-Expert Duo Stick provides light-buildable coverage.  It evens out skin tone nicely, concealing the redness around my nose and brightening the dark patches around my lips.  I still need a separate concealer for my dark circles and acne spots.  The picture does not fully capture the beautiful glow, though you can make out the brightening effects as captured here.

Surprisingly, for such a lightweight cream product, the By Terry Nude-Expert Duo Stick stays in place all day, does not smudge, stain nor streak even after running around all day.  It retails for SGD78, and is available at Escentials in Singapore and online.
