Surely we are no stranger to the liquid lipstick by now, and if you think you don’t need another one in your wardrobe, it’s time to think again. Because By Terry just released the Lip-Expert Liquid Lipstick!
By Terry Lip-Expert is designed to create statement lips with a single stroke. It is effortless to apply, and available in a wide range of shades and textures to enable bold or natural looks as desired. The compact tube fits in the smallest purse, and the soft flocked applicator picks up just enough product and is able to get into the corners precisely. I love the clear windows along the body of the tube so I can easily see what shade I’m picking up.
By Terry Lip-Expert Vinyl Shine has the fluid texture of a gloss, and is completely non-sticky. The formula is richly pigmented, so you can wear it fully opaque or sheered out as you like. Unlike other lip glosses, the Lip-Expert has a memory shape elastic gel that hugs the contours of the lips, and stay in place. I was surprised that it did not feather out at all, and provides nice definition to my lips. It stays in place for an impressive 6-hours when left untouched, though the high shine does fade a little over time. It does transfer when drinking and goes off completely with a meal, but with such a comfortable formula, I actually look forward to reapplying!

Very often lip colours apply differently on my lips than they appear on my arm, so it is interesting to see how similar these swatch, proving the colour parity stays true. I love all the shades, although 11 Orchid Cream is a little too light for my pigmented lips, so it tends to settle and emphasize my lines.
For those seeking a more dramatic and chic look, By Terry Lip-Expert Matte instantly elevates your makeup. High absorption volatile oils create an opaque true matte coverage while also enhancing colour vibrancy. Payoff is insanely high, whilst still being very wearable and comfortable for daily wear. As with most matte liquid lipsticks, these are very long-lasting, staying on all day if left untouched, but they do wear off with a meal.

Again, the colour parity is exactly as you see it, and the colour hugs the contours of my lips so it never looks flat like some other cheaper matte liquid lipsticks. The finish is a soft matte with a hint of luminosity. I love how forgiving the formula is, neither emphasising my lines nor dry patches.
Overall, I’ve enjoyed both the Shine and Matte versions, and By Terry Lip-Expert has instantly become my latest favourite liquid lipstick! They are out in stores now, so be sure to check them out.
