Bobbi Brown Sunset Pink Collection

Give me more of that summer glow!!  Bobbi Brown has released a 2nd Summer 2016 collection that aims to enhance the healthy sun-kissed glow of the skin.  Bobbi Brown Sunset Pink Collection consists of several new limited edition highlighters, creamy blushes, eyeshadows and gel eyeliners.  I got the opportunity to swatch the collection at a recent media preview, and would like to share them with you in case you are looking to order them online.

What caught my eye first were the 3 gorgeous Highlighting Powders.  They come in beautiful chic cases and the powders themselves are soft and silky smooth with fine micro-shimmers.  This is completely different from the chunky glitter from previous shimmer bricks, and the color is more elegant, giving that stunning sheen perfect for strobing.

It is interesting to see several pieces of this collection named Telluride, and it is a nod towards one of Bobbi Brown’s favourite places on earth.  The tawny nude, shimmery rose and pinkish bronze shades are inspired by the summery glow of the late afternoon Telluride sun.

There are also 4 new sultry, shimmering jewel-like shades of Bobbi Brown’s cult favourite Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner.

And 3 shades of Bobbi Brown Long-wear Cream Eyeshadow.  These are smooth, creamy eyeshadows in a pot, that apply with a velvety finish and delicate easy to wear colour. Bobbi Brown promises these cream eyeshadows to be water, sweat and humidity resistant and a 12-hour wear.

Another favourite of mine are the Bobbi Brown Sheer Color Cheek Tint.  I am always interested in cream blushes in a tube, and Bobbi Brown’s rendition is sheerer, much more delicate and lit-from-within.

In addition to all the limited edition releases, Bobbi Brown has also recreated 10 of her original lipstick shades in a the Luxe Lip Color formula.  When Bobbi Brown first started her makeup collection, it was with only 10 lipsticks which she adapted for various uses, and for all skin tones.  And so, to celebrate the brand’s 25th anniversary, she has chosen to go back to where it all started, creating 8 new shades and repromoting 2 in the Luxe Lip formula.
