Benefit They’re Real! Double the Lip & Duo Eyeshadow Blender

Hello Monday folks!!  I had a wonderfully relaxing staycation over the weekend, and I’m just super excited to get going again!!  If you hadn’t seen the pictures yet, they’re up on my Instagram (@silverkis) <<shameless plug!>> for you to check out.  I have loads of reviews to catch up on this week, and today is a double issue featuring everybody’s favourite provocateur… Benefit!

With a catchy tag phrase like “beyond belief sexy”, Benefit’s They’re Real! franchise is all about creating that bombshell look with easy-to-use innovative products.  And this time, Benefit is expanding the line in a major way.  With 2 new products, and plenty of color options, there’s bound to be something for everybody… even if you don’t believe in #fakingit.

Soooo many new lip options lately, where to begin?  Benefit They’re Real! Double The Lip is a cool new lip color that combines both a lipstick and lip liner in 1 novel teardrop-shaped bullet.  The relatively small bullet and narrowed tip makes it easy to glide the lipstick across my lips and adhere to the lip line.  It took me a couple of tries to get used to the motion, but once I got it, it’s like the next cleverest invention after sliced bread!

There are 8 shades to choose from, ranging from wearable neutrals to bold sexy reds (whaddya expect from Benefit!). Most of the shades feature a very nondescript matching liner shade, with the exception of a few that feature a darker liner shade and may be blended in easily to create an ombre effect.  I love the creamy texture and was wow-ed by the intense pigmentation.  They all last a good 6 hours on me, outlasting even my usual gluttonous meal and constant drinking.  The best part is, it feels perfectly comfortable on my lips, and never once dried them out even with continuous wear!

Taking the 2-in-1 concept back to where it all began, Benefit They’re Real! Duo Eyeshadow Blender features a colored powder liner and all-over eyeshadow shade in 1 nifty compact.  We’ve all seen eyeshadow palettes featuring multiple shades *yawn* but what makes this one innovative is the cool Eyeshadow Blender included in each palette!  These rounded sponges are perfectly designed to pick up the right amount of pigments from both shades in 1 swipe, and then apply them seamlessly onto the eye!  Seriously, there is no easier and faster way to apply eyemakeup!

There are 8 shade pairs to choose from, and the finishes range from shimmery metallic to soft satins.  All of the shades have cool names to them, but whichever you choose, they are all easy to wear crowd pleasers.

This is a look that I would wear every day – just a swipe of Benefit They’re Real! Duo Eyeshadow Blender in Sexy Smokin’ on the eyes.  For the lips, I picked Benefit They’re Real! Double The Lip in Juicy Berry.

This is one for those who prefer a more natural, lighter eye makeup.  I added a touch of black liner to Benefit They’re Real! Duo Eyeshadow Blender in Naughty Neutral.  Lips in matching neutral shade of Lusty Rose from Benefit They’re Real! Double The Lip range.
