It is turning out to be a power-packed week! I wanted to quickly show you this exciting and super exclusive capsule collection that will be available in May, so that you have some days to deliberate before the Labor Day long weekend rolls around. This May will be the 1st anniversary of the Dior Boutique at Ion Orchard Singapore [come take a quick peek inside here], and to commemorate this special occasion, Dior Singapore will be releasing a handful of makeup items from the Dior World of Pastels Spring Summer 2015 Collection that was previously only available in Japan. The release will be titled “Amour, Dior”, and available exclusively at the Dior Boutique at Ion Orchard.
The Amour, Dior collection features this brand new and limited edition 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette in #346 Pastel Breeze. This is an interesting palette to me as it seems to marry some of the shades from #556 Contraste Horizon, which is part of the Summer 2015 Tie Dye Collection, but made it softer… less Mediterranean and more Japonesque. The colors all appeared in Dior’s Spring and Summer 2015 ready-to-wear runway looks, so that is something to covet as well.
The swatches, from left to right, correspond to the following shades on palette:
And to demonstrate it, here is an eye look specially created by Dior Senior Backstage Artist, and one of my favorite makeup artist in town, Han:
Next, let’s turn to this unicorn….
When Dior first released these My Lady Blushes with their stunning cannage design, I never imagined in my wildest dreams that we’ll be seeing a whole family of them! Last Spring 2014, we saw #002 and #003 (although the numbers seem to have been switched around between the Japan- and International- releases). I believe #004 is an exclusive shade that is available for membership rewards redemption, and #005 is an allover illuminating face powder exclusively sold in Japan. We already saw #007 released in Japan and Nordstrom in the US earlier this Spring, and now, this #006!!
This Dior My Lady Blush #006 seems like a cross between #002 and #003… even though it looks peachy pink, it swatches out to be a pale baby pink with faint shimmers. It is certainly not as deep in color as either #002 and #003, but is pigmented nonetheless and lovely on the cheeks.
For those who missed out on #007, it will also be released in the Amour, Dior launch together with #006!
To complement the looks, Amour, Dior will be offering 2 different lipsticks. Dior Addict Lipstick in #425 Summer Sunset comes in a super creamy formula and gorgeous shiny finish. It is a medium mauve-peach that pulls slightly warm on me, and is slightly sheer although buildable. I love the luxurious, moisturizing feel of these Dior Addict Lipsticks when worn, and they last a decent 3-4 hours.
Rouge Dior Lipstick in #769 Comtesse is anoter beautiful formula that glides on smoothly and is easily opaque in 1 swipe. The shade is a stunning medium bright reddened pink that is perfectly neutral-toned, although I can see it leaning slightly cool-toned for some people. It lasts longer on me than Summer Sunset, approximately 4-5 hours.
I had the pleasure of getting a complete makeover from Han at a recent Dior blogger event, and here are some pictures! This is the softer Parisian Romance look, which is 1 of 3 exclusive looks specially designed for this Amour, Dior release. It makes use of Pastel Breeze 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette, My Lady Blush 006 and Dior Addict Lipstick Summer Sunset (the official lipstick is actually Rouge Dior 399 Hermine, but that was too pale on me so we switched!).
The Amour Dior! release will also includes an exclusive Dior Vernis in #585 Poppy Pink that I had revealed in an earlier post. Please hop on over here for the full review!
Amour, Dior will be launching exclusively at Dior Boutiques in Singapore starting May! For the entire celebratory month, Dior is offering a makeover for any of the 3 signature looks (including Parisian Romance) at $120 fully redeemable for Dior products. This offer is only available at the Dior Boutique at Ion Orchard, advance appointments are required. Please enquire at the store for more details.
This post featured products that were kindly provided by Dior Singapore for my consideration. I always endeavour to maintain neutrality, and hope I have provided an honest, unbiased perspective on the products. Of course, as with any review, take it with a pinch of salt if you must!
