Addiction Beauty Blush Mix 03 Pink Waves

April 7, 2015

I’m almost ready to start welcoming Summer collections, and it seems they are starting to roll out… but there’s no reason to hurry really… sometimes it is important to take a moment to enjoy the season that we are in.  And I almost missed this out, but since a girlfriend was traveling to Japan and asked if I wanted anything, it almost seemed churlish to say no.  So, on a whim, I asked her to please bring me back something from Addiction Beauty, just in case she sees the counter.  And she brought me back this beautiful Addiction Blush Mix Pink Waves (03).

Addiction Blush Mix Pink Waves

Addiction first introduced these blush mix for Holiday 2012, and there had not been any new offerings since then.  So it was interesting to find 2 new, permanent blush mix for Spring 2015.  Compared to the earlier shades, this season’s offerings are much more wearable (in my opinion).

Pink Waves (03) is a cool-toned palette consisting of a medium satin neutral-toned pink (left), light pale pink with sparse shimmers (middle), and an icy pink with some shimmers (right).  The way the shades are laid out with their varying sizes, they are designed to be worn either all swirled together, or individually.  Depending on your skin tone, you may want to focus more on the darkest pink shade or the lighter pinks.  The way I like to wear them is to first sweep my brush across all 3 shades and apply the mixture along my cheek bones.  Thereafter I dab at the darkest pink and pop that on the apples of my cheeks.  Finally, I use a smaller brush and sweep the lightest shimmery shade along the top of my cheek bones for some highlight.
